After finishing ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) moiraj's amazing book The Hero Strikes Back (sequel to Resenting the Hero, another amazing book), I got inspired to do some fanart of the main characters Dunleavy Mallorough and Shintaro Karish. [[Before I go on, I have to say, READ THESE BOOKS!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!! That's all ^.^]] I decided I'd use Photoshop to draw the two characters using a base body found here; basically this means I start off with a base body and I draw the clothes and hair and such using a graphics program, in my case Photoshop.
ANYWAY.
I wasn't doing too bad with Lee's dress... having never drawn a formal gown before, it was an interesting experience; I had a lot of fun with it. Lee's hair was really simple -- my only worry is that I didn't quite interpret her the way the author intended.
And then came Taro. I don't draw guys --- actually, I NEVER draw guys. So drawing Taro in a suit was a four-hour ordeal that honestly, can only be described by this entry's title. And his hair was another ordeal in itself. Shading black hair is a pain, let me tell you.
But I did it.
My only problem now is not knowing exactly where the Triple S braids belong... I've left them out for now, but sometime when I get more information I'll fix it up.
And here they are: Lee and Taro!!!
